Bob Calvert (1947-1988)

History?

Not long after I first got hold of a PC for home and started doing some serious non work-related surfing, I was becoming frustrated in my efforts to find good quality information about Hawkwind. Searching for tour dates, I checked out a bulletin board in the USA and was able to answer a query for a bloke who turned out to be a like minded soul who lived not far away from me here in the UK. After the exchange of several emails and ideas we decided to launch the first incarnation of this site together, to add our bit to the wide world of the web. We finally got together in 2001 for the Croydon and Aldershot gigs. Starfarer, as he is now known, has since emigrated to the USA and launched his own Hawkwind-related website http://www.starfarer.net which was recently voted by Hawkwind fans as being the best Hawkwind related site on the net.
