Man

This classic Welsh rock band has produced a wealth of material over the years and are still regularly gigging. For me the best recordings are the live ones, Maximum Darkness being the highlight. I recently bought a compilation containing some 2 hours of their music, called Three Decades of Man - it's an excellent summary of the band's best stuff and is highly recommended.

During the 70s Man often played on the same bill as Hawkwind. As far as I'm aware, the link ends there - despite such similarities such as pushing the boundaries of their musical genre, their style is very different to that of Hawkwind.

Both live tracks since Man were always at their best live .... and both around 1.5 min long and thus around 1.5Mb so will take a while to download but worth it if you want to find out what Man sound like ....
