Spaceritual

Nik Turner and his crew of former Hawkwind members do a good job of recreating the atmosphere of early 70's Hawkwind, although the Spaceritual sound is more jazzy/funky and less heavy than the HW of that era.

I first saw them in Nov 02 when an overcrowded lineup produced a sloppy but enjoyable show. Nearly 3 years later they are playing a very familiar setlist but doing it extremely well. My daughter was lucky enough to dance on stage for Spaceritual's set at Guilfest 05. Click here if you want to read more ......

If you get chance, go and see this band. If you like 1970-75 Hawkwind material, you won't be disappointed.

Sound files

Nik Turner has an enlightened policy on audience recordings so it's relatively easy to get hold of them. Essentially the deal is that anyone can record his shows and trade them (ie. share or swap but NOT sell) as long as they send him a copy for his archives. Post a request to the "neoquark" group on Yahoo and someone will more than likely offer to help you out.
